Getting started

How Laurio works, in two minutes

Watch the demo, then use the checklist below as you fill in your own details. The demo uses an example engineer and example data.

What to fill in, step by step

  1. 1.Sign in

    Sign in page
    Email
Use an email you check often. Click the link we send in the same browser. It works once and expires in an hour.
  2. 2.Tell Laurio about you

    Settings
    Name
How you'd like to be greeted and how your exhibit index is titled.
    Field
Your area of work in a few words, for example "iOS engineering and mobile performance".
    Path
EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, or Both. Not sure? Choose Both. Your attorney decides the category; this only changes what Laurio tracks.
    AI suggestions (optional)
Lets Claude plan weekly steps and suggest a criterion for new evidence. It only sees titles and deadlines, never your files.
  3. 3.Add evidence

    Evidence
    What is it?
A plain description, for example "Peer review, mobile software conference (3 papers)".
    Criterion
Which EB-1A criterion or NIW prong it supports. Peer reviews go under Judging; offer letters under High salary.
    Strength
Strong = official record or third-party proof (an invitation email, a certificate). Supporting = context or partial proof.
    Date and source
When it happened and where the proof comes from, for example "Invitation email from program chair".
    File
Optional PDF, image, text or .eml file up to 10 MB. Files are private to your account.
  4. 4.Check your criteria

    Criteria
    Coverage
Strong items count 2 points, supporting 1. Three points shows "Looks covered". EB-1A needs 3 criteria, then a final review of your whole record.
  5. 5.Track opportunities

    Opportunities
    Link and name
Paste the call for reviewers, program committee or call for papers you found, and give it a short name.
    Type, deadline, helps with
So Laurio can remind you before it closes and show which gap it fills.
    Status
Move it from Saved to Applied, Accepted and Done. When it's done, save the proof in Evidence.
  6. 6.Take one small step a week

    This week
    Steps
Add your own or ask for suggestions, then tick them off. About an hour a week is enough.
  7. 7.Share with your attorney

    Exhibit index
    Copy as text
A numbered list of your evidence by criterion. Your attorney decides the final order and what to include.

Good things to save

  • Review invitations and thank-you emails from editors or program chairs
  • Acceptance emails and published copies of your papers or articles
  • Offer letters, W-2s or pay stubs, plus published wage data for your role
  • Org charts and letters describing your role on key projects
  • Patents, awards, press coverage, and IEEE membership records

Keep it real

Do the reviews, papers and talks yourself, and never pay for press, publications or judging roles. Petitions are signed under penalty of perjury, and USCIS checks whether evidence is genuine.
